    Re: What is surface membranes?

Normally in biology it means a thin protective layer, like the skin of an apple, or the scera of the eye. In speaker systems, it may be talking about the vibrating membrane on each speaker that gives off variations in air pressure resulting in sound. Stronger, lerger membranes can handle more magnetic force, and make louder sounds.
