    leaving something not open

I hate when you leave the toothpaste tube open. Please, _______ it when you're finished.

Please ______ the soda bottle or the gas will escape completely (need help with this sentence).

    Hi,
What's the best verb here? "Close"? "Plug"?
    Thanks.

    Re: leaving something not open

"please put the cap back on ..." I'd say that in both situations.

    Thanks a lot!

    One more help, please.

Please put the cap back on the soda bottle or the gas will escape completely.

Is this good English? How would you say it, please?

    Thanks.

Please put the cap back on the soda [water/drink] or it will go flat.
