    What word does taller modify in this sentence; "Even though he is younger, Justin is taller than his brother". Is it Justin or is?

    What part of speech is 'taller'? An 'adjective? What do adjectives do? Describe nouns. Which noun in this sentence? Who is taller? Justin.

    'taller' is a pred adjective, and what follows, a prep. phrase (than his brother), is an adverbial regarding its function.
