    Gravestone Text

Our fathers gravestone reads JOHN D O'DELL Sr , my question is, since the name is in caps should the ' r ' in Sr be small cap. It's a military grave marker and I assume it's proper but my sisters think the ' r ' should be a capitol letter.

small cap or lower case. Not full capital.

If it is a military marker, is there not a guide to how this kind of thing is done?

    Re: Gravestone Text

When Anglika says 'small cap' she means something more than 'capital letter that is a bit smaller than usual'. A 'small cap' has the shape of a capital letter, but the 'x-height' of a lower-case letter.
