    Friday is only one day which is Friday but Fridays means many Fridays not one or any.

    Friday= one friday, fridays= more than one.

    Yes, that's correct.

    If I just say "Friday" then I probably mean the next one coming up. We are going to an art festival Friday.

    If I just say "Fridays" then I probably mean every Friday, or Fridays in general. We need a reservation. Fridays they get really crowded.

    I can also say something like I'm busy the next two Fridays, but I'm free the one after that.
