    You can look up wear down in a dictionary. Lazy!
    But literally it means to cause something to become either thin or short through abrasion.
    From thence it is used with figurative overtones, in whatever context.

    I'm Not allowed to wear your freedom down. I don't like this sentence, it is unclear.

    Try: I shouldn't compromise your freedom. I think that is what it means to say.
