    ...in a moments notice = what that mean?

    Notice = the time given before you have to do something; a warning.

    If you want to leave your job, you have to give two week's notice.
    Sheriff: You have one hour's notice to collect your things and get out of town. If my deputies find you after that you will arrest you.
    My mother rang and said she was coming to dinner. I only had an hour's notice!
    I was asked to speak at the meeting without even a moment's notice (without any notice/warning at all).


    "A moment's notice" is not much time to be given to prepare for something.
