    passing score

Actually, the interpretation of "as few as" in (1) is bothering me.

    (1) You can pass with as few as 25 points. (OALD)

But first, I'd like to know what points is the general passing score in your country (probably because "common sense," which can be different from country to country, is a key factor in the interpretation of (1)) . Incidentally, it is 60 points in Japan.

    Thank you in advance

    Re: passing score

What about the phrase troubles you?

The person who has written this is emphasizing what a low number it is.

Doesn't it depend on how many points are possible to know what a typical passing score is? If only 30 are possible, 25 is a pretty high score.
