I need help writing a re-imbursement latter to an airline.....the airline cancelled my flight twice and gave me the option to be put in a hotel but i had a buiseness meeting i had to be at in the morning so I chose to take a flight to DC and rent a car from hertz in DC and drive home. Because of equipement failure on both flights cancelled i had to come out of pocket to rent a car and then keep my own personal car in short term parking at my orginal destination airport.

May I suggest you write a letter and if you would like to have it looked over for help then I think someone would be more able to do this. It seems you already know what you want to say. With any letter especially a letter of complaint remember to organise it so that you state why you are writing - this is a kind of introduction; then you can include those details you have posted which are the main part of the letter. Finally you can finish, like a conclusion, by explaining what you expect to happen. If you don't say this part clearly they won't necessarily guess what you want.
