This is a look at when to use the/a/an or plurals for general situations. Eg
1) tomatoes on the pizza.
2) The good
4) the old
5) an egg
2 and 4 are similar - they use an adjective to refer to many, so the idea is plural but the word itself is singular.
A note: it's a good idea to try and answer the questions you are set - most teachers are more than happy to show you the answers if you have tried them first. :)
