    which is correct?

    * I found the dog who I lost yesterday
    * I found the dog that I lost yesterday
    * I found the dog which I lost yesterday

    Teach me which of the above is right?

    Hello, I'm The French,

    I am not a teacher, but I think you know the rule for relative pronouns.

    Who is for people, which for things, and that can replace the both.

    I prefer which and that, but it's your dog, you like it and who it's more personal.

    Perhaps you consider it like a human.

    Your three sentences are good for me.

    You mentioned which is for things
    So I think "I found the dog which I lost yesterday" is wrong because a dog is not a thing.
