I imagine that it would be more likely to be a gimmick than something practical. It would be a very difficult thing to do well; you'd need vast databases of sounds to compare things with and it would be very tricky to judge well- what about words like 'bath' with different pronunciations, or regional accents or words that have different pronunciations like 'the'? Great progress is being made with voice technology but it's probably a bit early for an effective freeware pronunciation meter.![]()
