I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

A buss carrying tourists broke down in the middle of nowhere. The driver tried to start it, but the engine wouldn't start, so he asked the passengers to go out and push the buss. They pushed hard a few hundred meters until the engine came to life.

Consider using "fix it" instead of "start it". Also, you can just say "go out and push."
"They pushed hard for a few hundred meters."
