Hi there,

I would be very grateful if you could help me with the following questions:

What's the meaning of "pick of the day"? (I saw it in a newspaper)

Are these sentences right:
Skim the book first.
My house is near of the lake/ My house is near the lake
I like living in Girona, but for/to studying/study I prefer Barcelona

Thanks

Hi there,

I would be very grateful if you could help me with the following questions:

What's the meaning of "pick of the day"? (I saw it in a newspaper) Something that has been selected as the choicest thing that day.

Are these sentences right:
Skim the book first. if you mean that you rapidly go through the book, not really reading it.
My house is near of the lake/ My house is near the lake
I like living in Girona, but for/to studying/study I prefer Barcelona

Thanks
.
