"We met with the foreign minister, A.F.A"

The man was in China, So I think he was talking about the Chineses Foreign minister"

I can't specify exactly what "A.F.A" can possibly stand for.

I only know it as the first three letters of 'AFAIK' - text-speak for 'as far as I know'. (Maybe he wasn't sure it was the foreign minister... but that's a pretty fanciful guess. ;-))
