Hi! What is the exact meaning of thefollowing sentences? The passage is from a political text. In fact it is from atelegram sent by an embassy and has a special shortened style.
"If escrow deposits are insufficient to satisfyaward, ICJ is given power to determine method of paying balance of award, withUK and Iran free, if they choose, to agree that balance of award should besatisfied through oil deliveries."

Your title is "The formidable passage". Those words do not appear in the text you posted (in unnecessarily enormous letters!) in post #1.

1. Click on Edit Post and reduce the font size in post #1.
2. Give us the paragraph containing the words "The formidable passage" as given in your title.

I'd guess there is no paragraph with "formidable passage", just as there is none with "difficult text" etc. Pars finds it formidable and wants an explanation.
