Hi there,

What would you call a region/city in a country with the highest rates of production in a certain area?

In Persian, we use the term 'the pole of production' or 'an economic pole'!

If you're talking about production, try "leading/largest producer"; e.g.,
Brazil is the world's leading/largest producer of coffee.

If you're talking about economic activity (e.g., GDP), try "economic powerhouse"; e.g.,
China and Japan are the dominant economic powerhouses of Asia.
