Are the sentences below acceptable? Which is better? Please give me a correction. Thanks a lot.

  1. We did it to create a more nurturing environment for the children.
  2. We created a more nurturing environment for the children.
  3. We have created more nurturing homes for the children.
  4. We did it to make a warm home for our children.

They each have a different meaning so it's not possible to compare them.

I think 1 and 2 sound very good, though.
