I am wondering if my sentence is grammatically correct.

A woman who wanted to take a selfie was so clumsy that she tumbled backwards into the river, and would have probably drowned had it not been for passersby who came to her rescue.

It should be "a passerby". Also I would divide this sentence into two sentences. First one ends at river. The second starts with "she would have...." There is too much information for one sentence.

It is not the singular but plural "passersby".

Also I would divide this sentence into two sentences.

I would, too, and I'd relocate "probably" to the position immediately following the subject of the second sentence.

She probably would have drowned had she not been rescued by passersby.
