Are "to access online help" and "to enter online help" the same things for the sentence:To access the on-line help, double click on a command word to highlight it and then press the F1 (or help) key.?

What would be the alternative for "to access online help", retaining its meaning?

They are not the same thing. An alternative : "to get (the) on-line help".
