Actioning!!!!

Please help! I have just used the word actioning in a sentence -

Someone is actioning my tickets.

Is actioning a word? I don't think so but I need a word to put in it's place.

There is a tendency to turn anything into a verb nowadays and I have definitely heard it used as one. Depending on the action, you could use 'issue' or 'check'.
