Dear native speakers,

Is it possible to use adverbs of frequency in the sentences that include "used to"? Consider the following sentences:

1) My mother (often, play) ............................ the piano for us before diner. OR:

2) When I was a student, I (usually, go) ....................... to bet at 11 p.m.

Is it possible to use these adverbs with "used to" at all?

Thanks.

Thanks. But would you please tell me how they are used? I mean are they used before "used to" or after it?
Thanks.

This is where I would put them:

1) My mother often used to play the piano for us before dinner.

2) When I was a student, I often used to go to bed at 11 p.m.
