I am wondering if my sentence is grammatically correct.

After a mass brawl in the pub, the authorities have decided to close it down until further notice.

I would use "keep it closed" instead of "close it down"; the latter is pretty terminal!

I'd use "close it until further notice". "Close it down" does sound terminal but "keep it closed" assumes it has already been closed and they are extending the closure period.
