Dear teachers,

Do these have the same meaning?

After the lights are turned off, everybody [should go] goes to bed.
After turning off the lights, everybody [should go] goes to bed.

Many thanks

The outcome is the same: it gets dark, everybody goes to bed.

In the first, some outside authority may turn off the lights.
In the second 'everybody' turns off the lights.
