I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

After Maria finished school, she went off to India, where she learnt yoga for six months. She returned completely transformed, from a party animal into a spiritual woman who liked to meditate and preferred quiet life.

She returned completely transformed, [STRIKE]from[/STRIKE] no longer a party animal [STRIKE]into[/STRIKE] but a spiritual woman who liked to meditate and preferred a quiet life.

See above. If she didn't stay in one place in India, I'd probably use "... she travelled round India for six months, learning yoga."
