I have tried to use "wine and dine" in my sentence. Would you please correct my mistakes?

After the contracts were signed, the CEOs went wining and dining in an exclusive restaurant.

No, we don't say "to go wining and dining". "... the CEO wined and dined in an ..." or, if someone else was paying as a treat "... the CEOs were wined and dined ...".
