Are these sentences correct:
1) There were all red roses in his room.
2) His room was all red roses.

Meaning: His room was full of red roses.

I don't think '2' works. '1' seems to mean that the roses were all red... they were totally red.

#1 is possible if you want to say there were only red (e.g., no pink) roses in his room.
