Can the verb "sit" be used in such cases "Among the beautiful summits of the Chrystal mountains a white city sits"?

Yes, or "lies."

I suggest a comma after "mountains."

Thank you, Barb_D. Does that mean a pause to get listeners' attention? In other words, listeners will pay close attention to get the gist of what you are going to say at the end of your statement.

No. There may be a tiny pause in speech, but the comma makes it clear in writing that there is a sense break in the cluster 'the c[STRIKE]h[/STRIKE]rystal mountains a white city'. You could also say, Among the beautiful summits of the crystal mountains sits a white city'. That works without a comma.
