Hi,

I've got a question about the word anatomy.
Does anatomy (besides meaning the study of the body of living things) also means a kind of clinic or part of a hospital?

Thank you very much,

Hospitals, especially teaching hospitals, might have an "anatomy department" but it's not an alternative word for clinic.

I'll stick my neck out and say that no British hospitals have an 'anatomy department' or 'anatomy clinic'.

You may well be right, but one of my friends who worked in teaching hospital in America, would tell me that she had to spend the week in the "anatomy department". Perhaps it was part of the university attached to the hospital, I'm not sure, admittedly.
