Are these sentences correct:
1-You were angry to speak to him like that.
2-It was angry of you to speak to him like that.

3-You were shy to stay in a corner and not mingle with people.
4-It was shy of you to stay in a corner and not mingle with people.

Commentary.

1-You were angry to speak to him like that.
2-It was angry of you to speak to him like that.

That is not a normal construction. Preferable would be "It was rude of you...."

3-You were shy to stay in a corner and not mingle with people.
4-It was shy of you to stay in a corner and not mingle with people.

That is not a normal construction. Preferable would be "It was impolite of you...."

Try
3-You were shy staying in a corner and not mingling with people.

That's sounds OK to me, what about you, Ron? ;-)

Perhaps acting shy or feeling shy.

Hope I'm not intruding ... but the Irish in me says that 'it was shy of you to stay in 'the' corner' sounds like something my aged aunts might say.
