I need to understand something...

Could the following sentence be correct:

"That's the applications' problem."

Meaning, the application is the source of the problem.
Would one ever use the word "Applications's"?

Please explain, and if possible, send me a reference where I can find more information about similar words and/or usage.

Thank you kindly

It's not incorrect, but 'That a problem of/with the application' would work better for me. Your version sounds as if you are blaming the application or distancing yourself from it.
