1-How much of your personality is reflected in any role you have had in the movies?
2-How much of your personality is reflected in any of the roles you have had in the movies?
3-How much of your personality is reflected in any one of the roles you have had in the movies?

If they are correct, what do they mean exactly?

Gratefully,
Navi.

All correct, with different implications

1 [Any role, of which there are many, some of which I may not know.]
2 [You and I both know what they are.]
3 [Restrict your answer to only one role.]

The differences are slight(, and maybe imaginary ;-)).

Thank you very much BobK,

I got that part now! But I still have a problem with the way "any" is used here.

In the first two, am I supposed to list the qualities that I have which have been reflected in my roles, and in each case name the role that reflected that quality?

(For example: "My stupid ambitiousness was reflected in Macbeth and my melancholy in Hamlet and my naivete in King Lear...".

Or, am I supposed to give a list of the qualities in me that were reflected in my roles without mentioning the roles?

Gratefully,
Navi.

I imagine some people might like to impose such fine distinctions on particular forms of words, but I don't think that in the real world anyone relies on them - without reinforcement: 'How much of your personality is reflected in any one of the roles you have had in the movies - and for each role say which character trait is reflected?' The responder, if the answer is that one trait reflected in each role, will say so if s/he thinks it's relevant.

Thank you very much BobK.

Well, then if the originals do not mean that, what do they mean? I cannot understand them.

Gratefully,
Navi.
