I live in Birmingham, near the university. What would you like to know about it?

It's a large university, very strong on sciences, but courses are offered in most subjects. It's about 20-30 minutes from the city centre by bus. There is quite a bit of on-campus housing, but many students live in shared houses or flats around the area. There are a lot of student activities.
There is a major teaching hospital nearby, and the university has various other learning centres as well. Because it's so large, it's hard to know what questions you would like answered.
We happen to know several members of staff who are neighbours and friends, and they are all pleasant people.
It's not remote from city life, but neither is it in a heavily-built up area.

There is a website at: http://www.prospective.bham.ac.uk/
information for international students is at:
http://www.international.bham.ac.uk/

If you need any more specific information, I will try to answer or find out for you.

Best wishes,

Best wishes,

Dear Cheryl,
Thanks a million for telling me the information!! And that's a big help to me. :D
Do you know the MSc in Investment of Birmingham University? I went to the website and got some important information about the course modules. But I have some difficulty in understanding the modules such as Portfolio Theory and Investment Analysis, Investment Mathematics and Statistics(I've only learned Economic Mathematics and Statistics, I think they two are quite different, right?), Financial Modelling and Forecasting Techniques. I'm sure they are hard to learn. :(

By the way, today I received a mail from my friend in Birmingham.(She's just been there for 2 days) She said it's a very beautiful and friendly city. And I hope one day I can be there for study too.

Yours sincerely,

Amelie

Our friends are mostly from the science department, and I don't know about your programme. I might see someone from the uiversity on Sunday; if so I will try to ask them. Many people are away at this time of year, but I will see what I can do.
Best wishes,
