What's the difference between 'anyone' and 'anyone else' in the following sentences?

1- Last night he danced better than anyone/anyone elsein the party.

2- He has scored more goals than anyone/anyone else has ever done.

What's the difference between 'anyone' and 'anyone else' in the following sentences?

1- Last night he danced better than anyone/anyone else [STRIKE]in[/STRIKE] at the party.

2- He has scored more goals than anyone/anyone else has ever done.
1. With my correction, "he" was at the party if you include else. If you omit it, he was somewhere else.

2. It's not very natural either way but else doesn't change the meaning.

Thank you all. Is there any difference between "He loves me more than anyone (no full stop here)" and "he loves me more than anyone else (no full stop here)"?

Note my corrections above.
