Hello, I have a question about whether "would" and "are gonna" can be used interchangeably. For example :

1) You are gonna want to attend that party, it's very fun.

2) You would want to attend that party, it's very fun.

And

1) I was gonna attend that party, but I have some work to do.

2) I would attend that party, but I have some work to do.

Are these sentences similar in meaning?

You'll find that we discourage the use of "gonna" and "wanna" on this forum. "Going to" and "would" are not interchangeable.

So it means that those sentences don't mean the same thing, I suppose?

I was gonna attend means that the person was planning to attend, but something came up. I would attend means that the person knows they cannot attend, but would go if they didn't have other commitments.

The first #1 is a comma splice.
