Are these sentences correct?

You can use "for", I like it! However, it's rather old fashioned, "because" would be more usual.

#1 you can use either, I prefer "dare".
#2 you can use either, some people smoke tobacco, some chew tobacco and some snort it in the form of snuff.

I prefer "dare". It's basically the imperative - you are instructing people not to mention chocolate.

It works the same way as what might be said by someone with a gun, threatening a group of people:

No-one move!!!

Grammatically, "no-one moves" would be correct, but in the imperative, it becomes "move".
