I found the following sentence in a newspaper. I feel that ‘the’ before ‘growth’ is not correct. Please comment.

We believe that this disruption represents an opportunity for the growth and evolution for this company.

Yes; "growth" is very specific for this company, (note the words "this") so it is "the growth. "
