Would you please correct the mistakes in my sentences?

As I waited for the appointment, a bearish-looking man came inside and sat on a chair, which seemed too small for him. He picked a glossy magazine from the table with his large hands and gave a deep yawn, which drew everyone's attention to him.

As I waited for [STRIKE]the[/STRIKE] my appointment, a bearish-looking man came inside and sat on a chair (no comma here) which seemed too small for him. See above. I've left "bearish-looking" because, even though I don't like it, it's quite evocative. I would probably say "a tall, hairy man"!
