Both would sound OK to me, but I would probably use "as", as it's a shorter word under the KISS (keep it short & simple) principle.

Both are correct. I would use "because", and I would place a comma after "table".

There are several words and expressions which are commonly used as synonyms for "because", including "as", "since", "due to", "owing to the fact that" etc etc. Keep it straightforward: use "because".

PS. Just seen R21's answer. Just goes to prove that both are correct, and it's all down to personal taste.
