As you explore it, the sound of your footsteps will echo in the building, and this amazes visitors most.

What does "as" mean in the sentence above, "when" or "while"? These three always confused me.

Are the following possible too?

1) While you are exploring it, the sound of your footsteps ...
2) When you explore it, the sound of your footsteps ...
2) When you are exploring it, the sound of your footsteps ...
4) While you explore it, the sound of your footsteps ...

They all work.
'When' usually refers to a certain time - eg. 9 am.
'While' usually refers to the duration during which you are doing something - eg. 9 - 11 am.
'As' depends. "As I explored the building" - this means 'while'. "As I entered the building" - this means 'when'.
It sometimes doesn't matter which you use - as in this case.

If you have copied the title page exactly, it reveals that you should not rely on the book's contents. There are several errors.

I just copied what was written on the book. I rechecked again.

You maybe surprised to hear that he is currently an IELTS examiner!!
Unfortunately, there is not any reliable source to read for IELTS speaking. This book is regarded as one of the best ones.
