Can one say:
1-If you want to have your money back, you have to bring the goods back AS you bought them.
and:
2-If you want to have your money back, you have to bring the goods back AS they were when you bought them.
(the goods have to be in the state they were in when you bought them)

You can, but the second is better because it's clearer. The first could mean 'because you bought them'. ;-)
