dear i've read this
"In" and "inside" usually mean the same thing when "inside" is a preposition. When "inside" is used as an adverb, the situation is completely different.
can you give me an example where inside is used as an adverb or adjective
thank you

***NOT A TEACHER***

adel, good morning.

(1) You have asked a very interesting question.

(2) I checked some dictionaries and found these examples.

(a) as an adjective: He worked outside last year, but he has an inside job this year./ The pitch was low and inside (baseball talk)./The jacket has an inside pocket./ The story was not on the front page. The inside pages carried the story./Don't tell anyone, but I have inside information (only a few people know about this information). /The robbery was an inside job. (Some employees at that job secretly helped the robbers.)

(b) as an adverb: The children play inside on rainy days./Please go inside./I know inside that he's not guilty. (I have this feeling that he did not do it.)/ Inside, she is really very shy. (She does not appear shy, but she really is.)/ Mr. Jackson is waiting for you inside.

Thank you for your question. Have a nice day.
