X is assumed normally distributed vs X is assumed to be normally distributed
Both are used, as follows from Ngrams, the latter being much more frequent. But if both are correct, I'd prefer the more concise X is assumed normally distributed. Would that be OK?
Thanks Piscean. In this particular situation I'm talking about, the shorter version suits better my purpose to make the list parallel, hence - since it's up to me - I'll choose it.
