Hi Red,

I read the message that you are going to upgrade your hosting account. That's good news coz it means usingenglish.com is so well-known that only larger bandwidth can handle the ever-increasing site's pupolarity.

More power to you :)

I wouldn't think you would be able to access the forum faster. (That would have more to do with your server.) However, response time is already faster for things like posting messages.

My server? You mean the out-going bandwidth of my client workstation?

Well, I am not a server, I am a client, though I do have many servers, but in this case, I am a client, you are a server which provides http service to us(thanks you, it is free ) , that is so called 'C/S" model(Client/server that allows application components to behave as service consumers (clients) and service providers (servers)), or "B/C" model, 'B' is the acroynm for "Background", just the same meaning as "Server".

10M is quite enough to access any sites on this earth currently for a client.
But as the server is concerned, perhaps 10G is still insufficient provide there are tremendous of ppl visiting it at one time.

more detail about C/S can be discovered at:

Indeed. We will be upgrading to 20Gb bandwidth per month, and a dedicated server.

It should be faster, yes.

By server I mean the company (or computer) that provides access to the Internet for you. Of course, Red knows more about that stuff than I do.

It is, but it will have reserved access, rather than shared, which should speed things up a bit. ;-)
