What does bedding mean in the following?

1. A woman slaps her fiancee, infuriated by his flirting at a party. Rejected and furious himself, he storms off, and the flirtation becomes a bedding.

2. The last time we did the dishes we got into a fight. This makes me feel sad and hopeless. It also makes me feel angry. Next time we do the dishes, I want you to rub my shoulders while I scrape and rinse them. If you don't want to do this, I'll just do the dishes alone next time.

I can translate the above in bold literally, but it sounds strange. What is it saying in the context?

Thank you for your time.

1. Bedding is the word used to describe bedclothes (such as pillow or a matress.) My guess is that, in this particular context, it means sexual intercourses.

2. There are two possible interpretations:
It could be literal, that is it means giving the other person a massage.
There is also an idiom (although not exactly the same pattern as the example above): rub shoulders with - Idioms - by the Free Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia. , but it doesn't seem to fit here any better.
I would settle for the literal meaning.

Thank you all for the answer.

In question 1, if bedding means sexual intercourse, I don't understand how the two persons who are angry each other can have sex.

The man is flirting with a woman who is not his fiance. The fiance is furious and slaps him. The man then feels so angry and rejected that he has sex with the woman who he had been flirting with, the woman who is not his fiance. You're right that he's not having sex with his fiance, who he has just argued with.

''...infuriated by his flirting at a party.''
What do you think a flirting is all about? Of course, he could flirt with his fiancée, but you don't usually get slapped for that, do you? :)
