Hey, what's the difference between been and gone ?
Example: She's gone to Japan. / She's been to Japan.

She's gone to Japan. She is in Japan now.
She's been to Japan. She has visited Japan in the past, but she is not there now.

But when she returns:

'Who can I speak to about dealing with Japan?' /'Try Julie, she's been there. She's only been back a few weeks.'
