I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

Before entering the court, Michael looked at himself in the windowpane and righted his clothes. He was dressed in a dark suit and a dark tie, which he both borrowed from his friend David. His boss accused him of stealing the company's money, and Michael was keen to present himself as a well-mannered man.

His boss had accused him of stealing the company's money, and Michael was keen to present himself as an [STRIKE]well-mannered[/STRIKE] honest (morally upright) man.
