Hello guys!

Glad to learn one more thing through this site.

My question for today is "Better still."

I tried to look it up in the dictionary but couldn't find any explanation.

What's the meaning and how can it be used?
(It seemed to be used like an adverb... independantly)

Cheers! ^^

better expresses a comparison:

This is good, but that is better.
(That is better than this)

still, when used with comparisons, expresses to a greater degree or extent:

This is good, but that is better, and this here is (even) better still.

better still means, *more better, but not necessarily the best.

better still is synonymous with better yet.

Please note the symbol *. It means ungrammatical. more better is ungrammatical in form, but nevertheless I've used it to explain the meaning of better still.

All the best,
