Nobody felt as sad as like this blue eyed old man about my answer...

What I am trying to say is...

there was an old man who has got blue eyes.. this man got very upset when he heard my answer. There were others who were also upset about it but not as sad as this man.

But you see when you explain like this it's too long... how can I make it short.

Hi brend, I was giving another option, as the best had already been suggested. Sadder is the comparative form of sad. It is certainly seldom used.

In a typical "transform this sentence" exam, this would probably be the only option.

He was not as good as Peter.

He was worse than Peter.
