Buckets of water ________(carry) around the streets and people attack each other by splashing anyone and everyone.

From a native's point of view, "is carried" is suitable or "are carried".

Thanks!

As 'buckets' is plural, Jason, what do you think is suitable?

But water is uncountable noun.
So water is carried while buckets of water are carried.

Is it right?

Thanks!
